I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
